Apple has agreed to buy the oil dispensers, Wipe, and Sparkletts brand from dispenser maker Olive Oil.
Apple is the second major tech company to buy these brands, following Amazon.com, which bought Wipe for $3 billion in 2016.
Apple is also the first major tech-company to purchase a company that makes an app for dispensing oil.
Wipe was originally a service for dispensers.
The app has since become a standalone app.
Olive Oil said it expects to employ around 300 people in the US and around 350 in Europe.
“We have been focused on expanding the app in the last year and are excited to welcome the Olive Oil team to Apple,” said Steve Purcell, CEO of Olive and Wipe.
“We are thrilled to be working with them on bringing the Wipe app to the Apple ecosystem.”
